Maintenance |
 |

Your
wall and ceiling texturing can be easily maintained to
ensure that it will last for years.
I always recommend that you paint your texturing
once it is dry otherwise it will stay porous. Paint will protect it.

Painting and Cleaning
Your textured finish should dry
within 24 hours. Once it is dry it can be painted to complement your
colour scheme. Always follow the paint manufacturers instructions for
painting porous surfaces.
It is especially important to paint your textured area in kitchens and
bathrooms. As the textured surface is porous any condensation or steam
will soak into the surface which over a period of time can lead to the
surface staining and becoming unstable.
Painted surfaces can be easily cleaned with a solution of warm water and
washing up liquid.
For an unpainted surface which is porous, remove any surface dust with a
dry brush and clean up any grease spots by lightly dabbing with a soft
cloth. Don't try and wash with water as you will wash away the pattern.
Later when you want to refresh your colour scheme you simply just
redecorate with emulsion paint.
You may also get tired of that pattern in later years. A professional
texturer can re-pattern your textured
surface or even give you back a flat surface.
